Endless time pressed like a heavy burden upon God's being. Omnipotence and perfect dominion had faded into a tedious, unchanging buzz. He longed for the sharp sting of failure, the raw sweetness of hard-won triumph, the chaotic, beautiful finality of death. So he devised a daring plan.
At the start, he created a creature of limitless capacity, calling him Zeno. Within Zeno, he locked the sum of his godly might, the wild, infinite strength that marked his grand life.
But for his own essence, he took on a vulnerable, breakable human form. He confined his essence to a loop of reincarnation, a dim ember of the primal blaze, erased of past knowledge and power upon each demise.
Through this, he would taste hunger, pleasure, grief, and worry. He would falter, grow, and ultimately live.
